After I realized that I needed to gain some volunteering hours in order to get promoted at my job, I started volunteering at a place downtown that took care of homeless youth and children. It was an incredibly humbling experience. The kids were really impressionable, and they were really fun to work with. I started talking with them every day about ways to make better use of their time, and it was awesome to watch them blossom into young adults. I have realized that one of the best things that we can do with our time is to help children to learn. This blog is all about serving others around you.
